3 singing pumpkins that light up and sing, with real pumpkin vines and corn from our garden. They looked much better before they froze lol

This is where they would choose to go through the scary haunt or the kid's decorated hall. If they chose to go through the haunt, they would ring the door bell which had a 9.5 volt bulb hooked to a 6vcd wall wart and my actor Craig would hit play on the cd player behind the door and the foghorn door bell would sound. He would open the door and I would direct Lurch to take our guests to the livingroom

The Cleopatra room

Cleopatra; she was motion activated to pop out of the bush 10" and the entire plant would shake just like in the tv show only I used some trimmed off pine tree branches lol

Grand ma ma's kitchen; wonder what she has in her cupboards lol. Lisa used Tide liquid laundry detergent and highlighter ink to make things glow under the black light

Gutted the banging box this year, removed the mimic box, added a chip player with a dog growl and a red light that came on with the sound and the motor to bang, and mounted it like a cupboard

Changed up the dark halls a bit this year by adding latex to the walls and told everyone entering to "feel the walls to follow the halls". We would spray water on the latex several times a night for a slippery feeling :-)

We took 6' long jute strands and dipped them in latex and hung them over 2 hangers to drip dry for a nice feel of slimy guts running across your face. lol Many thought something was grabbing them.

The dungeon was dark like the maze until the lead person tripped the sensor turning on the purple lighting and activating Simon our talking skeleton that was spouting poetry as he hung there

Basket of severed heads and bones; My utility hall person would release the blade when they saw someone close to the guillotine. People would think they were done here lol but they were only 1/3 of the way through

Last year's stand up prop became a dining room server and his cylinders were used for Cleopatra and the shower curtain opener

The dinner table; this is where I had an actor stuck up through a hole in the table with their arms and head above the table. I made a great foam guts and put it in front of them to make them look like they had been mostly eaten. Because I only used 2 actors in the haunt, most thought this actor was a prop lol

Entering the bathroom; the shower curtain would open and a woman would scream then a male evil laugh and the curtain would close

The spider was hooked to the 2x2 that opened the shower curtain so he would swing out also but not many noticed him

Had many people ask if someone needed to use the bathroom until they saw the hands then they thought something was going to pop up at them lol

Entering Wednesday's room

Wednesday would sit on the bed singing itsy bitsy spider or ring around the rosey or just ask if anyone had seen her pet spider Homer or would you like to meet Marie Antoinette? lol

I made the bed with an old head and footboard screwed to an old couch spring and frame and put a couple couch cushions on that with the bloody sheets

This was Spiderbaby; he was on the scissor prop mechanism this year and came out from under the bed. One lady told Emma "um there's your pet spider hun" and rushed off lol

The remote control wheel chair; when entering the morgue, I wanted to make it go towards the victums, I mean guests... but the room was too small for that so he just sat in the fog with his red eyes fading in and out

The morgue was dark when they entered and a green light would trigger in the fogged room then this guy would sit up when someone stepped to his side

Entering the graveyard, the decorated hall also entered at this point of the haunt so we ended up telling people to go right (just a tiny inconvenience though)

My utility hall; all rooms connect here and all my air, electrical and sound were here. I had one stereo speaker at this end and one on the stereo and we played Midnight Syndicate's Realm of Shadows and Gates of Delerium throughout the entire house at a decent low volume

This is the decorated hall for the kids that couldn't make it through the scary haunt. lol We had some that wouldn't even go through here to get to the graveyard. When Lurch opened the front door they bolted back into the waiting area hahaha

Well I have to say this has been our best year yet and I hope we don't get any bigger lol but it's so nice to see how much the community enjoyed it and to hear the comments as people left; made us feel great.
