This years totals for intake for the CAP Help Food
Warehouse $54 cash and 206Lbs. of non-perishable food, RIGHT ON this
community ROCKS!!!. We would like to thank all our friends and
neighbors
in the Toutle/Longview area for coming out to have some fun and support
needy families for a bit this winter and the Longview Daily news paper
for placing us in their community events calendar
These
are some
pictures of our haunt 2004 Please be patient there are
several pictures so it will take some of you a
while to get into your cache

This is the borrowed facade
<thank you HOM> we built the entry to our haunt out of man
that has to be the heaviest door in the world Rob lol

Thanks for giving us the coffin
go-cart Dad the kids loved it and I am going to have a blast around the
neighborhood

This was our pre construction advertising around the area... funny a
cop came through the neighborhood for the first time sense I've lived
here

Watch your step....damn ankle biters

this was our intro man "Foolish beings!" he set the mood for the house
and had eerie background music

Welcome to Mamma's kitchen,
Mamma seemed to disappear on us once in a while and we told the patrons
how she must be out gathering fresh meat...better watch your step
Bwahahaha!!!!!!!!

Looks like Mamma has picked this one to the bone but look close she
left some stale blood for the flies

Oh oh....Momma must have forgotten she still had one tenderfoot on the
block

Looks like Momma let her skeleton stew go a bit too long or is he just
relaxing having a drink?

Damn kid never cleans up its room and it look like he took out another
teddy bear <another prop loan from HOM this works very well noone
expects it "the dresser" to start jumping>

and its the ol reliable Monster Mash band staring boris the talking
skeleton. These guys take a licking and just keep on picking

"What's your name What's your name What's your name
What's
your name" This was the best room in our house.
It was 4 visqueen sides shredded visqueen in and out doors, cd player
hooked to a set of computer speakers on the ceiling and 6 heads on
fishing line hanging down 3 on either side of patrons when they walked
in to the total darkness hearing the whispers. Dressed in all black
with a skeleton mask on a black hood, an actor turned on the 2 strobe
lights after all had entered and came up low from about 8' away towards
the patrons who were flashed in the eyes while trying to make out what
was moving towards them not knowing where the exit from this mad room
was, at this point the guide pointed them in the right direction to
their afterlife. I have to say this room was very uncomfortable even to
work in in the daylight and it was so simple.

Welcome to the afterlife BWAhahaha

Lisa's collection of tomb stones

Sorry Sue we gave this guy a new name for you "George Jetson" he
doesn't
look scary but his sit up affect works well with chilled fog
covering him so you don't see him at night until he sits up, this one
worked well also. Thanks Sue

This is Lisa's prized reaper...ug, I hate monster mud lol. This reaper
has been quite the traveler and still survives, It holds a faux flame
skull pot and lights up the headstones between lightning strikes and
the sounds of thunder thanks to lisa's T&L and a set of computer
speakers and a cd player all under cover in our new FCG crypt I built
for Lisa out of 2x2's and visqueen, it made a great central haunt
location for electrical connections to stay dry.

Thanks to the 13th door' s owner Raymond for the loan of the pillars
and crypt toppers I found that I could stuff a pillar with blue ice
packs nightly and use it as a very affective fog chiller but it took 12
packs lol, that reminds me I better return the borrowed ones for the
neighborhood kids lunch boxes hahaha the fog machine stayed nice and
dry under the crypt topper and was unseen by patrons

This is Lisa's new FCG and crypt. People thought this was so awesome,
we
had a black light mounted up by the FCG motor and she looked very cool
at night. Little kids thought she was going to come out and get them, I
think next year I will build a lower half to get her higher up in the
air. I did find I had to use vaseline on the fishing line to keep it
from breaking and that worked very well.

The spider room. Thanks Raymond
for the roll of Jute, I had an actor hide behind the jute and walk
slowly out at the patrons especially when they tried to walk behind the
dracula coffin. We did add a plastic spider web in the center that
glowed in the dark especially with the 3 black lights in this room that
added a lot after this picture was taken.

If you notice the drop light above right I found this at Harbor freight
for $10 and it takes a 12" florecent bulb that works awesome and also
has a plastic tube around the light that keeps the water out. I want
more of these next year Lisa lol

The stand up prop in laying down position was a pain in the but to make
work with my new air compressor. I had to connect a 5 gal resivior tank
behind the wall to give him enough umph to stand and crank my
compressor to 130 psi to make it turn on before the air pressure
dropped to low to make him stand but this guy popping up from out of a
fog filled room made a couple of patrons dampen themselves lol. That
skull fogger is Lisa's oldest fogger and works awesome sometimes a
little too well as you could not see the props at all until the stand
up was in your face. the skull is nice but this one needed a chiller
badly. Piling ice cubes from days of saving them did not work well but
helped and it looked like he puked ice all over the ground loll

to the right above the faux flame cauldron I left a window in the
visqueen and it worked the patrons thought someone was going to pop out
at them for sure which got their attention away from around the
next corner

this hokey little prop was actually very affective, its thin and the
eyes are activated with the sound and sensor placement on the prop of
which there are 2 in the mouth <look closely you will see the circle
where the lower right tooth looks like its missing> one on either
side made the eyes turn in the direction motion was picked up and all
he would say was "HEY, Where ya going? and I see you"and light up.
stupid but the patrons were looking at the window opening and this was
thin enough you couldn't see it when you did look down this hall. It
got
quite a few starts but it was difficult to get enough lighting for the
sensors to work so we ended up shining a little flashlight on the
sensor or turning a flame pot at it to set it off.

the ol skull light strand and banging box, wow that box works great
year
after year but I like the new cellar doors Sue made this year better!,
Oh Lisa hon, can I can I? lol

I couldn't have been happier
with
the way this turned out, Lisa had the skull fountain she had built but
it had fallen apart, in comes the fantastic Gorilla glue OMG that stuff
is great. Lisa rebuilt her fountain with that stuff and it works with
perfection, we are going to keep it there year around lol. This little
item sports a 60 psi electric pump purchased at Harbor Freight for $10
and fills the top small skull that Lisa sealed with the glue and
drilled out the eye sockets to allow the skull fill up with water,
crimson Rit die mixture and cry bleeding tears down its face and the
other skulls. I had a sensored light in a tree that turned a white
light on this after they had entered the room so they got a good look
at the blood, it looks black at night with no lighting.

this is Simon and son relaxing in the glider or is she bone feeding?

Simon and son enjoying the fountain, btw when the water dropped into
the pool it made no rings it gave it a totally real blood feel.

this part of our yard turned into a swamp, we had to tell patrons to
stay left or right if they wanted to avoid wet feet. Funny most just
tradded through the muddiest parts and didn't seem to give it a
thought.
How can women walk around something like this is sandals sheesh I saw
so many.

Ahhhh look, birds enjoying a little bath HE HE HE

Oh I guess they are sleeping in there, or are they. This one made Lisa
tell me over and over that Im a sick man. I had asked her for some of
those fake birds you see in lazy peoples bird cages and she picked me
up some nice ones. She wanted to know what I was going to do with them
and I wouldn't tell her lol.

Ahhh the air cannon man this one got EVERYONE and you couldn't help but
break character and laugh at the nice little dances people would do or
the ladies that just plain dropped to the ground.

this little rat room had hokey little things just to fill in the area
to get to the exit gate. the 3 bottom right sang bad to the bone and
were sensor activated, they need hacked with a wall wart ug. The tone
of the voice on each one was a little different but they all said the
same thing "bad to the bone" the eire part was they were out of unison
and man that that just sound wrong. then to the left of the path here
you can see the rat with his nose in a trap...also sensor activated, he
would screech and vibrate around dragging the trap backwards on his
nose.

I love your ware rat Sue can I keep him ? canI ? canI ?

This was an effort to maybe get a little money back from material
expenses and it actually got us a little

Thank you for stopping by and we hope you enjoyed the pictures. They were taken in the daylight as I have a cheap digital camera and cannot take good night pics. Lisa and I had an awesome Halloween night scaring children and adults alike for 4 non stop hours. Everyone out here in the boonies thought it was the best thing around sense ice cream and asked us continually if we were going to do it again next year. We collected much food and even a little cash for CAP help food warehouse for the needy and we got to have the best time so far hearing screams and laughter as patrons went throughout the haunt. we will be updating this page with stories and more pics later so check back again. We would like to gratefully thank House of Midnight haunted attractions, Scream at the Beach, 13th door, Steve Koontz from Z-100's Sceamland and FFNW owners and operators for all the education on haunting and hands on working with them building their pro haunts and for the loan of many props and electronics to make our home haunt such a success this year.
